Located in the heart of the Haine Valley, between Mons and Tournai, the Harchies-Hensies-Pommeroeul marshland complex, better known as the Harchies Marshes, is a major site for Wallonia's flora and fauna. Covering an area of 550 hectares, this site of great biological interest is home to numerous species and is an important transit site during bird migration, offering ideal conditions for nesting and wintering for many species.
