Nearby! The Ghent Hornu site

Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since July 2012, the Grand-Hornu is a true treasure trove of 19th-century European industrial heritage. Since 1989, it has belonged to the Province of Hainaut and has now established itself as one of the leading venues for contemporary creation in Belgium. A true crossroads between history and modernity, the site showcases its unique architecture while offering a program of international contemporary art and design exhibitions, presented by the MAC's and CID teams. Guided tours are available by reservation, as are audio guides for independent discovery. Open Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
