Two gîtes set up in the barn of an old farmhouse, adjoining the owner's.

The gîte has been converted into the old farm barn attached to the owner's house; it is located in a rural area and the garden in the farmyard will charm you with its authentic character.

The location of the cottage between Belgium and France, on the edge of two natural parks (Hauts Pays Natural Park (B) and Avesnois Regional Natural Park (F)) allows you to recharge your batteries between countryside and forest.

The historic towns of Valenciennes and Mons are nearby, as well as several tourist sites: the Bois du Caillou qui Bique, which welcomed the poet Emile Verhaeren, the Mormal state forest and its golf course, and the Grand Hornu industrial site.

Numerous walking and cycling trails crisscross the small country paths.

Our overall approach remains focused on respecting and protecting our natural heritage; the garden, classified as a "nature network," is home to numerous birds, butterflies, and dragonflies. The country hedge serves as a refuge for microfauna, and the melodious waterfall cascades down to a preserved pond.

The gîte is a starting point for discovering the colors and flavors of the little-known Haut-Pays: set off to discover the sheep breeders "les bergers de Saint Roch", the fishing ponds of the Château de Roisin, the chocolatier Druart, the breweries of the Abbaye des Rocs and Blaugies as well as numerous farm sales points.

A local shop is located 400 m away as well as several restaurants.
